I am VEGAN and RAW

It's been a while, I haven't write anything this year in this blog. Now, I would like to share a little about the easiest way to stay healthy and young. Being Raw and Vegan. Yes. I was Pollo Vegan for almost 2 years meaning I ate Chicken, Seafood and lots of vegetables (cooked or uncooked), it wasn't very difficult for me to be a pollo vegan, I never fond of meat and dairy products. I hate milk and cheese. So, it was a fun journey.

There was a little bit a dissatisfaction on my pollo vegan diet. I had a constipation problem. Every time I consume carbohydrate (from bread, wheat or rice), I would have digestion problem the next day. Also I tried to avoid carbohydrate by only consuming protein and fibre, it was a little better but still I felt my bowel system was not functioning normal.

I do yoga for the last 4 months, it's been great and it helps me to deal with my constipation. I feel fresher and lighter since when you do Yoga you couldn't eat so much and the diet helps me balancing the digestion. So, I came up to this decision to finally commit myself to be 100% Vegan and Raw. I tried this diet by the end of 2009, it was only 1 month and now, I will keep it up and commit to it. It's been a month and I feel so great! I eat lots of fruits mostly bananas, apples, pears, strawberries, oranges, and kiwis, since those fruits are in season. Also I eat good fats from avocados, almonds and walnuts. Dried fruits and seeds definitely are my favorite snack between meal.

So far, SO GREAT. I love every second and day of it. I will keep it up and write in this blog. Well, you could change your life also, I believe in a saying : "you are what you eat". Being Raw and Vegan, it's fun if you are willing to commit yourself and feeling good about it. To me, it's easy because I love the journey and the effect I felt.

Make Your Own : Massage Oil

Making your own massage oil is just something else.Massage will relax you and moisten your skin as well.You can do it with your partner or just do it on your own.

These are the ingredients:

1 Cup of Sesame Oil
1/2 Cup of Almond Oil
1/4 Cup of Avocado Oil
4-5 drops of Ylang Ylang Essencial Oil

*Mix all the oil ingredients then finally add the drops of essential oil, mix well and store it in glass bottle at room temperature.

This massage oil is good for your skin since it is enriched with avocado oil which rich in vitamin A, D, E and also minerals. Suitable for dry skin.

Johnson's Baby Milk Bath

I found Johnson's Milk Bath is good for face wash, since it contains milk protein and it is soft to care baby's sensitive skin. Before going to bed, wash your face with Johnson's Milk Bath, then apply your night cream. I've been using it since I was in high school, and I like to apply it on my body as well.

Constipation Due To Stress

In case of constipation due to stress, it is advised to change certain habits:

• To exercise regularly (to release stress with aerobic activity, yoga, pilates and swimming)
• Eating slow, small portion, several times a day.
• Drink water (1,5 - 2 liters/day)
• Eat fiber rich food and yoghurt type BIO.
• Sleep 8 hours/day.

Make Your Own : Make Up Remover

Ingredients:

1 TBS Castor Oil
1 TBS Olive Oil
2 TSP Canola Oil

*Mix all ingredients together. Apply with cotton tissue to remove your makeup.

Make Your Own : Acne Treatment

I hate acne. Who doesn't? Personally, it really affects my confidence and mood. Fortunately, I have normal skin, but when PMS came, it will appears, and when it happens, I just want to puff it off!but hey, relax, Acne can be cured and treated.

Here is a free recipe to make your own acne lotion (acne mask);

* 6 Plums
* 1 Tsp almond oil
Just simply boil the plumps, let it cools. Then mashed and add almond oil. Apply for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Acne Facial Scrub ;

* 1 Bar Baby Soap (Use Jhonson's Baby Products), grated
* 2 Cups of oatmeal (blended into powder) or wheat flour or rice flour
* Blanched almonds (at sufficiently), blended with the powder

Mix all the ingredients. Put in sealed jar. You could use to scrub your face or body (in case you have pimple or zits in the area of your body).

Avocado Treatment

Avocado used for many purposes. One of them is for nurturing your skin. It is enriched with Vitamin E & Omega 3. Also a good source of antioxidant, anti aging and as natural moisturizer for dry skin. I will share with you some tips to make your own Avocado Mask, for nurturing your face and body.

Body Mask

Ingredients:

Ripe Avocado (mashed)
Wheat Flour (At sufficiently)
Olive Oil or Avocado Oil (1 Tbs)

* Mix all the ingredients, apply it all over your body. Let it rest for 20-30 minutes, until the mask dry, then rub the mask. Clean with warm water, then apply your body lotion. You will feel fresh and moist!

Face Mask

Ingredients:
Ripe Avocado (mashed)
Honey (1 Tbs)

* Mix all the ingredients, apply and rub in your face, let it rest for 20 minutes. Clean with warm water.

Make your own body & face mask for one time use only, and make it fresh, since you can't keep avocado fresh all the time, make sure you measure the ingredients with reasoning 1:1.
